Last week, Boris Johnson resigned as Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary and David Davis as Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union. Johnson was replaced by Jeremy Hunt, who campaigned for Remain in the run-up to the 2016 EU referendum but who, according to the BBC, has since said that he is a convert to Brexit. In Davis’s place, the Prime Minister appointed Dominic Raab – a longstanding supporter of UK withdrawal from the ECHR, never mind from the EU.
