IICSA: Further hearings into Anglican and Roman Catholic Churches

The IICSA has issued the following Press Release on the  public hearings timetable to February 2020. It also announced  a further  two weeks of public hearings into the Anglican Church in July 2019, and two weeks of hearings into the Roman Catholic Church in October 2019. 


Inquiry publishes public hearings timetable to February 2020

The Inquiry has published a timetable of preliminary and public hearings up to February 2020

The hearings announced today include two weeks of public hearings into Industry response to child sexual abuse facilitated by the internet in May 2019, two weeks of public hearings into the Anglican Church in July 2019 and two weeks of hearings into the Roman Catholic Church in October 2019.

Further hearing windows have been scheduled as follows:

  • 30 September – 12 October 2019 Public Hearing – Sexual abuse & exploitation in Residential Schools – phase one
  • 3 – 21 February 2020 Public Hearing – Institutional responses to allegations of child sexual abuse involving the late Lord Janner of Braunstone QC

The hearings timetable page will be updated as we schedule more dates and all public hearings will be live streamed, subject to a three minute delay, on our website.
