…Registration of marriage from “end of year”
As we noted on Thursday, the Faculty Office issued an update on the implementation of the provisions of the Civil Partnerships, Marriages and Deaths (Registration etc) Act 2019 that will allow for mother’s names to be included in Marriage Registers for England and Wales as well as or in place of father’s names. The Faculty Office document indicates that the General Register Office proposes to bring the provisions into effect “by the end of the year”. Continue reading
