Question for Cabinet Office

To ask His Majesty’s Government what steps the Prime Minister has taken in government to maintain the Protestant Reformed Religion established by law, in light of (1) his role as the principal adviser to the Sovereign, and (2) the Coronation Oath.
On 30 September 2026, Baroness Twycross made the following response:
The Church of England is by law the established Church in England and the Monarch is its Supreme Governor. There are no plans to change this.
